Four magicians each answer a mysterious summons to an obscure address with secrets inside. A year later, they are the Four Horsemen, big time stage illusionists who climax their sold out Las Vegas show with a bank apparently robbed for real. This puts agents Dylan Rhodes of the FBI and Alma Dray of Interpol on the case to find out how they did it. However, this mystery proves difficult to solve even with the insights of the professional illusion exposer, Thaddeus Bradley. What follows is a bizarre investigation where nothing is what it seems with illusions, dark secrets and hidden agendas galore as all involved are reminded of a great truth in this puzzle: the closer you look, the less you see.

The intense, fast paced music are a representation of the film and its genre. It sets the film as being a face paced action film that maybe work on a deadline. This is gripping and attention grabbing, this helping to sell the film to listeners. In our film radio trailer, music would be an excellent way to illustrate the main points of the film. The crime aspect could be portrayed using fast paced music like this trailer. The pace and tone of the music could soften when the trailer gives a reason for her criminal action, to help save her sister. This would be gripping and interesting for listeners and help to sell our film.

The main features of the film are highlighted in the radio trailer with the use of the music and quotes from the film its self. The best example of this is where the word “Magic” is emphasised with by the music. As the music becomes more intense in introducing the film, it suddenly stops when this word is mentioned, highlighting and bringing attention to it. It acts as an answer to areas of the film mentioned in the beginning of the trailer, and helps to intrigue audiences. In our film, we could use this technique to sell our film. We could use aspects of the film, such as the main characters steeling and committing continual acts of crime, but it I to help someone she loves. This would probably be our main point of interest for our film radio trailer as it is interesting and intriguing for listeners.

Comments and reviews about the film are included in the radio trailer, the film is reviewed as being “original, exciting and unpredictable”. For our film’s radio trailer, we could interpret this method as it would be a successful way to sell our film. However, we would have to use comments and reviews from the finishing product of the film, when it is published online, which would mean the trailer would have to be published after the film is.

Other parts of this film trailer that are successful techniques that we would look at using in our own radio trailer are the start rating of the film, showing how others view the film, and also stating “in cinema’s now” at the end of the trailer. This would make audiences think ‘its in the cinema, we should watch it now!’. We could use ‘out soon’ or mention the release date.

Another feature in this film trailer is the mentioning of the title, only at the end of the trailer. This creates tension to know what the film is. It also emphasis the title, making it seem like it is being shouted at the listener.

Delivery Man

David Wozniak is a man who is irresponsible and unreliable which doesn't exactly endear him to his family and his girlfriend. And when she tells him that she's pregnant, she tells him, she plans to do it on her own because she can't count on him. One day a lawyer shows up and talks to him about the fact that twenty years ago he was a sperm donor for about a year and his sperm was used to father over 500 children. And now over 100 of them want to know who he is but because he signed a confidentiality agreement, they can't be told who he is. So they are going to court to try to get the confidentiality set aside. His lawyer tells him that they can win this. But when the lawyer who saw him gives him info on the ones who want to see him, he takes a peek at one and decides to go see him and not tell him he's the father. He then goes out and checks out some of his other children and doesn't tell them who he is and connects with them. His lawyer tells him it could jeopardize their case, especially since he can get a big settlement which he can use to pay back some people he borrowed from who "tell" him to pay or else.
